Ku Haʻaheo Hawaiian show features its traditional hula kahiko or ancient dances of Hawaiʻi! This ancient, bombastic style in the art of Hawaiian dance proclaims the oral traditions of an ancient past. Through hula kahiko, the stories, myths and legends foretold are exhibited through an exerted and compelling form of fluidity. Ku Haʻaheo digs deep in this vigorous 30min segment featuring some of the most renown hula principals and disciplines brought to life on stage! Kumu Hula Blaine Kia and cultural director of the Waikiki Beach Walk has been teaching the art of hula for thirty years! Kumu Blaine offers this incredible piece of symbolic history as a gateway from ancient to modern Hawaii that one and all may gain a better understanding of Hawaiiʻs evolution. Rarely scene in Waikīkī, the hula kahiko or ancient dances will move you in ways unimaginable!
